Record Shop City is a guide to the Record Shops of the North West of England. Whether you’re looking for a brand new Vinyl, cut price CDs, mega-rare collectibles or just want to get on your hands and knees and wade through some dusty old record crates – we’ve got a shop for you.
We’ve included a handy guide to each shop, with all the details you need, opening hours, contact details, photos and our unbiased reviews.
Note that each shop has ‘tags’ which tell you the location, whether they sell new or 2nd hand Vinyl or CDs etc. For example – looking for shops that sell new Vinyl? Click the ‘New Vinyl’ tag and the site will display all the other shops in that category.
When we started out in 2009 we were concentrating on the Manchester area, however we regularly get emails about shops further afield and we thought it time we expanded our catchment area so we’ve decided to pick up the North West of England. We’ll be adding to our ever-growing list but if we’ve missed your favourite shop, let us know!
Why not cover the whole of the UK? – well we prefer to focus on shops we’ve actually visited rather than just present you with a big long directory. Check the links page if you’re looking for shops outside the North West.
None of the shops has paid for advertising space or offered us discounts or anything else for that matter. We’re doing this for nowt, cos we love ’em – and we hope you do too. A lot of the shops we feature have little, or no online presence and some are harder to find than top secret military installations, so in some cases this is the only online source of information.
