Sells: | Punk, Metal and Hardcore, plus Zines, t-shirts, prints and vegan food and snacks |
The top end of Oldham Street (as we south Mancunians call it) is a rather murky affair. Even after a generation of steam cleaning gentrification it still manages to have an edge and attitude regularly sharpened by the waifs, strays, hipsters, hop heads, ink daddies and Kohl girls who drift along this city centre boundary. Shuffle all the way to the bottom and on the right you will now find V Revolution, a vegan lifestyle and record shop (shop please note, not a store).
V Revolution has been set up by Dom and Gio as a labour of love to the great goddess of hardcore/thrash/punk and her sister the delightful vegan grocer. All in all a pretty tasty combination and one that Manchester is currently lacking in. The range of records is excellent and nailed on for all you lovers of authentic and loud statements. You will not find the stock here anywhere else in Manchester, possibly anywhere else outside of London. The shop also sells tapes, zines and 45s as well as t shirts, prints and vegan groceries.
This is a great addition to the Manchester record shop scene and one with a great attitude behind it. And please remember you don`t have to be vegan to like vegan food, really, just get over it and enjoy it!
